Maintenance for an optimal experience.
Also important for maintaining all warranty.
We understand like no other that you want to enjoy your EMQ® e-bike as long as possible. This requires proper maintenance. Think about having your maintenance done on time. This will prevent unnecessary wear and possible problems. And your EMQ® e-bike will stay like new!
But also remember that with a few simple tips and tricks, you yourself will ensure long-term enjoyment of your e-bike.
What maintenance do you do yourself?
Lubricating the chain
The only thing that needs occasional lubrication is the chain. Clean it with an old cloth or t-shirt. Lubricate with special chain oil, not with very greasy agents or spray, and after lubricating, wipe off the excess oil with an old cloth. Be careful not to get the lubricant on the rim. Repeat about 1x per month.
Inflating tires
As much as possible, keep the tires at 4 bar. This ensures the best range, the EMQ® e-bike rides the lightest and you have much less chance of punctures. Moreover, a good tire pressure ensures a longer life of your battery! So you can continue cycling carefree.
Cleaning
Clean the EMQ® e-bike regularly, but not with a garden hose or pressure washer. Make sure the bike is dry and brush the dirt off the bike.
